Origin of Numbers

Have we ever asked the question why 1 is ‘one 2 is ‘two 3 is ‘three’?It’s easy, interesting and amazing to know the originality of numeracy and wonder, the intellectual power of the primitive people.

Do you know the origin of numbers 1,2,3,4,5………?The numbers we write are made up of algorithm. They are called Arabic algorithm. As a unique identifier from the Roman algorithm,( l, ll,lll.lV etc.)the Arabs popularize these algorithms ,but the origin goes back to the phoenician ( a race of people who lived on the eastern coasts of the mediterranean in ancient times)merchants that used them to count to do their commercial activities .
Have we ever asked the question' why" 1 'one' 2 is 'two' 3 is 'three' and so on......
What is the logic that exists in the Arabic algorithm...? The answer is easy and amazing ! I wonder how intelliegnt the primitive people had been. They are all angles and nothing more than that. No 1 has one angle, 2 has two angles and up to nine the angles are running . and number 10 is 'zero angle. And the most interesting and intelligent of all is the zero angle.

Cute story, but it is just another cyber-myth.

This math site has something to say about it:

This article seems to have more depth to it:

And of course, Wikipedia weighs in to say it is a common misconception:
